Meetings of the Launceston Historical Society
Monthly meetings are held from February to November, usually held in the afternoon of the third Sunday in the month, at the Meeting Room, Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery, Inveresk. Speakers include members of the Society and other local and intra-state historians.
The Society hosts The Examiner - John West Memorial Lecture, delivered by a prominent Australian, in March each year. An annual symposium, around a central theme sometimes related to the John West lecture, is held in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting.
Below is the current schedule for these meetings. See the current newsletter for more information on upcoming events. Admission is free and visitors are welcome.
